Mapplewell Village Hall, Darton Lane, Mapplewell, Barnsley, S75 6AL

Who we are

Locally known as Greenspace our group works with local councillors and BMBC representatives, local schools and other volunteers & groups to maintain and improve the greenspace in the Darton East Ward. This covers areas from the Eastfield Arms , to Woolley Edge, down Spark Lane to the railway bridge, through to Darton railway bridge and on towards Woolley Grange. Fortnightly we organise litter picks or gardening and planting activities. Working with residents, councillors, business and other volunteer groups we have been able to draw down funds for plants, trees and improvements to play and exercise equipment. Open monthly meetings are at the Mapplewell Village Hall, every 3rd Monday of the month and all are welcome.
