FRIENDS OF MONK BRETTON PARK

Monk Bretton Park, Lamb Lane, Barnsley, S71 2DU

Who we are

The Friends of Monk Bretton Park are a small group of volunteers whose main aim is to look after the park by keeping it tidy, weed and litter free. We also maintain the pond, shrubs and borders, usually gardening for 2-3 hours on Tuesday mornings and Saturday afternoons. The group organise an annual Brass Band concert and other fund raising activities.

How you can help

General gardening, weeding, pruning, planting of flowers and bulbs, sweeping paths etc. - generally on Tuesday AM and Saturday PM. Litter picking at any time convenient to you. No experience is needed; help in the park is always welcome be it litter picking, gardening, helping us to set up and take down tents and equipment on the day of our concert, or getting more involved with the organisational side of the group.
